Privacy policy

In short. Verbaquiz analyses your exam on your device. It does not collect your browsing history, the content of the pages you visit or usage statistics, and shows no ads. Only two transmissions are possible, always at your request: the quiz, sent to Google to create it in your account when you click "Create", and your licence key, sent to Polar if you activate the Pro version. We have no server: we never receive your exams.
1. Data controller

2. Data processed only on your device
- The text you paste and the quiz derived from it: they are analysed by the extension itself, with no artificial intelligence or external service, and kept as a draft in your browser's extension storage until you click "New quiz".
- Your creation settings (numbering, required questions…). If you turned on your browser's sync, the browser may copy them to your other devices under its own privacy policy.
- The number of quizzes created in the last seven days (dates only), to enforce the free plan limit.
- Your licence status (key, activation identifier, check dates), so that Pro keeps working offline.
We have no access to this data.
3. Data sent to Google when you create a quiz

The form you create is then governed by Google's terms and privacy policy. You can remove the extension's access at any time from the "Security" page of your Google account (third-party apps with account access).
Verbaquiz's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This information is only used to create the quiz you asked for; it is not sold, not used for advertising and not read by humans.
The backup Apps Script offered by the extension runs in your own Google account: the extension sees nothing of its execution.
4. Data sent if you activate Pro

Purchases happen on Polar's checkout page: Polar collects your payment and billing details under its privacy policy. We never see your card details. Polar shares with us the information needed to track sales and provide support (email address, country, order, licence).
Google and Polar are based in the United States: data transfers involved in creating a quiz or checking a licence are covered by the safeguards described in their privacy policies.
5. What we never do
- No selling or renting of data, no advertising, no profiling.
- No analytics, no cookies, no trackers in the extension.
- No server on our side: your exams never pass through us.
- No code downloaded from the Internet: all code ships in the package reviewed by the extension stores.
6. Retention
- Draft, settings and counter: on your device, until you clear them or uninstall the extension (the counter only keeps the dates of the last seven days).
- Google sign-in token: one hour at most, in session memory.
- Forms created: in your Google account, under your sole control.
- Data held by Polar: according to Polar's privacy policy and legal obligations.
- Support emails: three years after the last contact.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, and you can restrict or object to its processing, by writing to bryan.cellier.pro@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with your local authority.
To remove the licence from a device, use the "Deactivate on this device" button in the extension settings, or your Polar customer portal. The editor's "Switch Google account" button clears the sign-in token. Uninstalling the extension deletes all local data.
8. Changes
Any change to this policy is dated above. If the extension ever processed new data, you would be informed in the extension before anything is sent.
